Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso 976
One of the most iconic watches of all time, this Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso incorporates a unique design which has stood the test of time. Dating back to the Art Déco period of the 1930s, the legendary Reverso model was first created to withstand the polo matches of the British Army officers in India. Its dial is smoothly concealed by a reversing case, to reveal a back that fully protects the face from possible mallet strokes. The timelessness of the Reverso lends itself to its profound complexities inspired by the Art Déco period- which allow this watch to appear unique and forever cult in the current watchmaking landscape.
This particular 273.8.04 reference incorporates a manual-winding movement which is visible through a beautiful display back case. This reference features a subsiduary seconds sub dial positioned at 6 o'clock. Fastened to a black alligator strap and with a branded deployment buckle, this Reverso stands in very good overall condition with light surface wear. The reversible case measures at a moderate 30 x 48.5mm- sitting elegantly on the wrist with the right amount of presence. Alongside this historic piece comes its original packaging and booklets.
